My ColdFusion Summit 2018 Schedule

In a few hours I jump on a plane for Las Vegas to attend the Adobe ColdFusion Summit!

On Monday Carl Von Stetten and I will be teaching an “Angular + CFML” workshop.  I believe the workshop is sold out but if you’re interested in signing up ping me or someone at Adobe and I’ll see if there are any openings left.  This will be a beginner class — we’re starting with getting CommandBox and Node.js running, and going over the basics of an Angular app, then showing you several ways to connect it to a ColdFusion API.  

Later in the week I’ll be giving a 1-hour presentation titled “Real world scenarios for modern CFML”.  This is a brand new talk designed to not just announce some newer language features from recent versions of ColdFusion, but also give somewhat more real world examples of when they can be used.  So rather than the code examples drawing the world “hello” on the screen (which no one ever needs in their day job), we’ll discuss situations when those features could actually be used in real CFML application development.  The code examples will be more involved than just drawing the word “hello”, but not so advanced as to make them difficult to follow.
