Speaking at Into The Box 2022
(In my best comedian voice) so, the pandemic…am I right?!
Next week I’m flying out to Texas for my first in-person conference in WAY too long! I’ll be giving 2 talks at one of my favorite events: Into The Box in Houston Texas!
Into The Box has something for everybody, and this year the conference has several new aspects as well. There are pre-conference online sessions that you can watch from the comfort of your own home, as a way to ramp up into the main event. And there are hands=on workshops on Sept 6 covering everything from Docker Containers to Test Driven Development to VueJS!
And speaking of the main event, the proper 3 day in-person conference has moved to a (bigger?) new hotel. Still in Houston, but now at the CityPlace Marriott at Springwoods Village. We may have fewer CFML related conferences now than we did, say, 5 years ago but the ones that are still around are all growing! What’s that about CFML is dead? ;)
I’ll be giving 2 brand new talks for the conference: “Web Components in Your CFML Application" and “I'm Still Scared of Aspect Oriented Programming!” — both talks are targeting CFML developers, but there is a lot of content in both that applies to any tech stack, not just CFML.
In fact that’s often the case with Into The Box sessions (and is probably one of the reasons this conferences continues to grow). While ITB is run by “the ColdBox” guys, there is a ton of content that can be applied to any CFML app, not just ColdBox apps. And lots of content can also be applied to non-CFML applications as well.
Registration is still open, you can purchase a ticket at this link. Hope to see you there!
